Delivering a late century stomp of strings and snares, Cold Soil Drifters are a local “supergroup” of veteran musicians from the Hopewell NJ area coming together with a blend of bluegrass and Americana which includes elements of calypso and funk. They have twice been featured on WXPN—first on their weekly Folk Show and most recently as the Philly Local Pick with Mike Vasilikos. Their first official release “Shanks Pony” (2023) was well received and they have an exciting sophomore record “Mountain Sourland” nearing release Summer 2024.This one had a few holiday-themed surprises. Ugly sweaters and Santa hats are highly suggested !
